VOTER INFORMATION

1. How can I register to vote?
Visit the State Division of Elections to register, https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register, and complete the form by October 17, 2023.
2. Am I already registered to vote? 
Check with the State Division of Elections to confirm you are registered: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/registration-check
3. How can I vote this year?

  • Early-Person Voting - In-Person early voting locations will be open October 28th – November 5th. The closest locations are: 1) BRIDGEWATER Municipal Court, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ - OR - 2) WARREN Municipal Court, 44 Mountain Blvd, Warren, NJ

  • Vote In-Person on Election Day - Vote In-person at your polling place, from 6AM-8PM on General Election Day, November 7th.

  • Vote-by-Mail Ballot - 

    • Mail: Must be postmarked on or before 8PM on November 7th

    • Secure Ballot Box: Place in Ballot Box located at the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge

    • Board of Elections: Deliver your Vote-by-Mail Ballot in person to the County Board of Elections before November 7th at 8PM

4. Will I be able to vote in person?

5. I need help! Who do I call?

6. I signed up to receive a Vote by Mail ballot / Absentee Ballot. When will I receive my ballot?

Somerset County Clerk will mail ballots around September. If you do not receive your ballot, contact the Clerk directly: https://www.co.somerset.nj.us/government/elected-officials/county-clerk
7. How do I cast my vote, once I receive my ballot?
Return your ballot immediately by:

  • Putting it in your mailbox. It needs to be postmarked before 8 pm on June 6th.

  • Putting it in the Bernards Secure Drop Box at the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge by June 6th.

  • Delivering it to the Board of Elections at 20 Grove Street, P.O. Box 3000, Somerville, NJ 08876-9977 by June 6th. 

8. How do I know my vote will be counted?
There is an equal amount of Republican and Democrat representatives on the Board of Elections who help process and count each ballot. You can call the Board of Elections to make sure your ballot was received or track your ballot to make sure it arrives on time by visiting: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/auth/sign-in.
